Broward County Realtor® Wins FAR’s 2005 Realtor Achievement Award

Broward County Realtor Summer Greene is the winner of the Florida Association of Realtors’ 2005 Realtor Achievement award.

ORLANDO, Fla., September 2005 -- Broward County Realtor® Summer Greene was recently recognized for winning Florida’s 2005 Realtor Achievement Award by the 130,000-plus-member Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR). The award was presented at FAR’s 89th annual Convention & Trade Expo in Lake Buena Vista.

Greene is a member of the Realtors Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale. The Realtor Achievement Award honors one Realtor serving in the capacity of manager, broker of record or officer of their company. The award covers the previous year’s contributions to the community, local, state and national Realtor organizations.

Consider just some of her community achievements. Since 2001, Greene has served as the director for the Reliance Housing Corporation, a nonprofit developer of affordable housing in the U.S. and Virgin Islands. She is an active supporter of Homeless to Homebuyer, which educates low-income families on how to qualify for city and county grants to purchase homes, and of Habitat for Humanity Hospice.

Greene has chaired and served on dozens of committees for both the local, national and state associations, including as FAR's 2005 Strategic Visioning Committee Chair and as District 11 Vice President in 2001. A Realtor Political Action Committee (RPAC) Sterling R member, she also teaches Graduate Realtor Institute courses.

For her contributions to the real estate profession and the community, Summer Greene has been honored with one of FAR’s top awards.

The Florida Association of Realtors, the voice for real estate in Florida, provides programs, services, continuing education, research and legislative representation for more than 130,000 members in 68 local boards/associations.
