Pinellas County Realtor Elected Treasurer of Floridas Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, Fla., January 2004 -- Nancy J. Riley, a broker associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Inc. in St. Petersburg, has been named 2004 treasurer of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the states largest professional association.
Riley is a member of the Pinellas Suncoast Association of Realtors and the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors. She has served her local associations in numerous capacities, including as the 1999 president of the-then Greater Clearwater Association of Realtors (now part of the Pinellas Suncoast Association) and was honored as the 2000 Realtor of the Year by the Greater Clearwater Association. On the state level, she served FAR as vice president-secretary last year, was a district vice president in 2000 and has chaired numerous committees. She is also a director for the National Association of Realtors®.
Riley has earned a number of real estate designations including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Leadership Training Graduate (LTG) and Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS).
Riley has been active in a number of community, social and political organizations. She was elected Republican State Committeewoman for Pinellas County and serves on the Board of Directors of the Republican Party of Florida. She also will be a voting delegate at the Republican National Convention in 2004.
Reflecting on what lies ahead for the real estate industry in 2004, Riley says, FAR is rethinking, re-engineering and revitalizing its public policy and legislative procedures.
