Florida Realtor Magazine Wins Top Awards
FAR’s Publication Recognized for Writing, Design Excellence
 

ORLANDO, Fla., September 2006 -- Florida Realtor, the Business Magazine of Florida Real Estate and monthly trade publication of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), recently won seven awards during the 2006 Florida Magazine Association Charlie Awards competition.

This year, Florida Realtor took home numerous Charlie Awards, the competition's top honor or gold standard. Under writing excellence, the magazine won a Charlie Award for Best Written Magazine in Trade/Technical category; a Charlie Award for Best Column for "Technology & You"; and also a Bronze Award for Best Column for "Makeover."

Under design excellence, Florida Realtor received a Charlie Award for Best Illustration in the Trade/Technical category for the December 2005 cover, "Is Your Income on a Wild Ride?" and also a Silver Award for Best Illustration for the July/August 2005 feature, "Residential Lifestyle Centers."

Florida Realtor magazine was honored for General Excellence in the Trade/Technical category with two Charlie Awards: one for Best Overall Magazine and one for Best Special Theme or Show Issue for the 2006 Real Estate Solutions Guide.

"Our goal is to provide Florida Realtors with a magazine that gives them valuable information they can use to improve their business -- one that helps them work more efficiently and effectively," says Lydia Pisano, chairman of FAR’s Communications Committee for 2006 and an Orlando Realtor. "But we are very proud that Florida Realtor magazine has achieved the recognition it so richly deserves with these awards."

The Florida Magazine Association is the professional organization for the state’s publishing industry and represents more than 220 magazines in Florida. Awards were presented Aug. 26 in Orlando.
