Brandon Realtor® Installed As District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association

ORLANDO, Fla., January 2009 – Bradford Monroe, broker/salesman, Coldwell Banker Residential in Brandon, has been installed as District 6 vice president of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors, Monroe will serve his fellow professionals in District 6, which encompasses Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties.

“The biggest challenge for the district is the changing landscape of the real estate market, with the short sales and foreclosures so prevalent in the Tampa Bay market,” Monroe says. “Short sales are the biggest challenge, because there’s no one way to do it, and everyone is running blind in it. Even if you did it with a particular company before, it doesn’t mean it’ll be the same process with that same company.

Active in residential and commercial sales, Monroe served as president of the Tampa real estate organization in 2006 and also was president of the Realtor CARES Foundation from 2006 to 2008. He has also served in local leadership positions since 2004. On the state level, Monroe has been an FAR director from 2004 to 2008 and also participated in FAR committees since 2003. He’s also served on several committees for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and has been a Greater Tampa representative to the NAR Board of Directors since 2005.

In the community, Monroe has held top leadership posts with the Palm River Community Civic Association and the Palm River Point CDC.

As FAR district vice president, Monroe says he wants to encourage and enhance relationships between the local Realtor organizations and District 6, “to promote and increase our efforts on education and joint projects.”

The Florida Association of Realtors®, the voice for real estate in Florida, provides programs, services, ongoing education, research and legislative representation to its 125,000 members in 67 local boards/associations throughout Florida.
