ORLANDO, FL — John Chapman, broker, Century 21 Palm Coast Properties in Palm Coast, has been elected District 1 vice president of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the St. Augustine/St. Johns County, Flagler, Northeast Florida and Daytona Beach Associations of Realtors®, Chapman will serve his fellow professionals in District 1, which encompasses Flagler, Putnam, Alachua, St. Johns, Clay, Bradford, Union, Baker, Hamilton, Suwannee, Columbia, Duval and Nassau counties.

“Affordable housing is a major concern in many areas, especially St. Johns County,” Chapman says. “Fortunately, new subdivisions are coming online that offer financial assistance programs to buyers.”

Active in residential brokerage, relocations and referrals, Chapman served as 2003 president of the St, Augustine board, and as professional standards chair of the Flagler association. He has been involved with area chambers of commerce and scouting organizations, and served as chairman of the Northridge Community Development Corporation and as director of the St. Johns Code Enforcement Board.

As a FAR vice president, Chapman will focus on Realtor education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in Northeast Florida. “By working together and speaking with one voice, Realtors can have a very positive influence in building better communities,” he said.
