FAR’s 2007 Realtor Achievement Award
ORLANDO, Fla., September 2007 —Sherri Meadows, a member of the Ocala/Marion County Association of Realtors®, has been recognized for winning Florida’s 2007 Realtor Achievement Award by the 150,000-member Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR). The award was presented at FAR’s recent 91st annual Convention & Trade Expo in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
The Realtor Achievement Award honors one Realtor serving in the capacity of manager, broker of record or officer of their company. This award covers the previous three years' contributions to the community, local, state and national Realtor associations.
Locally, Meadows served her association in numerous capacities, including as chairman of the Legislative, RPAC, the By-Laws and Publicity committees. She has been president of the local Women’s Council of Realtors and was honored as the local Realtor of the Year in 1995.
At the state level, she’s been an FAR director and has served on many committees, including as chairman of the Legislative and Political Forum. She is a current NAR director and has been a member of NAR’s Public Policy and its Land Use, Property Rights & Environment committees, as well as a NAR Convention Roundtable spokesperson. She also is the current president of the state Women’s Council of Realtors organization.
Meadows belongs to a number of community organizations, including the Ocala-Marion County Chamber of Commerce, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the American Cancer Society. She also helped her local association with its Habitat for Humanity build and serves as secretary and director of the Dixie Paint Horse Club. For her contributions to the real estate profession and the community, Sherri Meadows has been honored with one of FAR’s top awards.
