Pinellas County Realtor Takes Office As President Elect
of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, Fla., January 2006 -- Nancy Riley, broker, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Pinellas County, has been installed as 2006 president-elect of the Florida Association of Realtors
® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association with more than 155,000 members.
Riley is a member of the Pinellas Suncoast Association of Realtors and the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors. She has served her local associations in numerous capacities, including as the 1999 president of the-then Greater Clearwater Association of Realtors (now part of the Pinellas Suncoast Association) and was honored as the 2000 Realtor of the Year by the Greater Clearwater Association. On the state level, she served FAR as treasurer in 2004, as vice president-secretary in 2003 and as a district vice president in 2000. On the national level, she is a director for the National Association of Realtors
® (NAR) and has also chaired and served on numerous Association committees.
Riley has earned a number of real estate designations including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) and Performance Management Network (PMN).
She has been active in a number of community, social and political organizations. Riley was elected Republican State Committeewoman for Pinellas County and serves on the Board of Directors of the Republican Party of Florida. She is a graduate of the Leadership St. Pete Class of 1995 and is a candidate for the Florida House of Representatives, District 50.
Reflecting on what lies ahead for the real estate industry in 2006, Riley says, “FAR is revitalizing its public policy and legislative procedures. Our Realtor members can expect to see their state association resources committed to a broad spectrum of property rights and quality-of-life issues, intended to keep Florida beautiful for all residents and visitors and a profitable place to be in the real estate profession.”
