Florida Realtor Magazine Wins Awards
FAR’s Publication Recognized for Writing Excellence

ORLANDO, Fla., August 2004 -- Florida Realtor, the Business Magazine of Florida Real Estate and the monthly trade publication of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), recently won several editorial awards during the 2004 Florida Magazine Association Charlie Awards competition.

Florida Realtor won a Charlie Award -- the top honor -- for Writing Excellence for Best Written Magazine in the Trade/Technical Magazines category and a Silver Award for Writing Excellence in the Trade/Technical category for Best Column for “Technology & You.”

The magazine also earned two Silver Awards for General Excellence in the Trade/Technical category: one for Best Overall Magazine and one for Best Special Theme or Show Issue for the Real Estate Solutions Guide 2004.

“Our priority is to publish a magazine that offers Florida Realtors valuable information they can use to improve their business -- one that helps them work more efficiently and effectively,” says Mary McCall, chairman of FAR’s Communications Committee for 2004 and a Tampa-area Realtor. "But I'm thrilled that Florida Realtor magazine has achieved the recognition that it so richly deserves with these awards. That's a great bonus."

The Florida Magazine Association is the professional organization for the state’s publishing industry and represents more than 220 magazines in Florida. Awards were presented Aug. 21 in Aventura.

The Florida Association of Realtors (FAR), the voice for real estate in Florida, provides programs, services, continuing education, research and legislative representation to its more than 110,000 members in 70 boards/associations.
