Panhandle Realtor® Installed as District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 4, 2008 – Teresa Dyer, broker-owner, Realty One in Panama City Beach, has been installed as District 9 vice president of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Bay County Association of Realtors®, Dyer will serve her fellow professionals in District 9, which encompasses Bay, Walton, Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties.
“In our district, the key issues are housing affordability and financing,” she says. “The tighter national credit market has clearly had an impact here.”
Active in residential and commercial brokerage as well as rental properties, Dyer served as 2006 president of the Bay County association. She is also a director of FAR and the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). In the community, she is a member of the advisory councils for Arnold High School and Surfside Middle School and serves as a mentor at Patronis Elementary School.
Dyer brings extensive industry experience to her role as FAR district vice president. “Real estate is a self-motivating profession,” she says. “Realtors need to use their skills and energy to serve clients to the best of their ability.”
As a FAR vice president, Dyer will focus on Realtor education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region. As real estate professionals, Realtors seek to improve the availability and affordability of housing, while helping people from all walks of life achieve the American dream of homeownership.
The Florida Association of Realtors®, the voice for real estate in Florida, provides programs, services, ongoing education, research and legislative representation to its 150,000 members in 67 local boards/associations throughout Florida.
