Tallahassee Realtor® Installed as District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 4, 2008 – Robert C. Turner, broker-associate, Broker Group Realty Inc. in Tallahassee, has been installed as District 8 vice president of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Tallahassee Board of Realtors®, Turner will serve his fellow professionals in District 8, which encompasses Holmes, Washington, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Franklin, Liberty, Gadsden, Leon, Wakulla, Jefferson, Madison, Taylor, Lafayette, Gilchrist, Levy and Dixie counties.
“In our district the biggest challenge is educating sellers and buyers about today’s market,” he says. “In addition, our smaller towns and counties must be careful about balancing our great quality of life with the opportunities provided by new development.”
Active in residential sales, Turner was 2007 president of the Tallahassee board and serves as a FAR director. He is also a member of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and a participant in its Leadership Tallahassee program.
Turner brings extensive civic experience to his role as FAR district vice president. “Focusing on the individual needs of buyers and sellers has always been the key to success in real estate,” he says. “It’s time to go back to the basics and deliver the highest level of personal service.”
As a FAR vice president, Turner will focus on Realtors education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region. As real estate professionals, Realtors seek to improve the availability and affordability of housing, while helping people from all walks of life achieve the American dream.
The Florida Association of Realtors®, the voice for real estate in Florida, provides programs, services, ongoing education, research and legislative representation to its 150,000 members in 67 local boards/associations throughout Florida.
