Miami Realtor® Installed as District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 4, 2008 – Renate Smith, owner, Renate Smith Realty in Miami, has been installed as District 4 vice president of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. The 2007 chairman of the Realtor® Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches, Smith will serve her fellow professionals in District 4, which encompasses Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys.

“The challenges facing our market are also the opportunities,” she says. “Property management has moved to the forefront of our real estate market. Many owners are choosing to hold their properties, and rents are reasonable as a result.”

Active in residential and commercial brokerage serving both domestic and international clients, Smith has been a director of the FAR board since 2002. She also serves as a board member of the Jerome Bain Real Estate Institute at Florida International University.

Smith brings extensive experience to her role as FAR district vice president. “Our state, national and local associations provide incredible training and education programs,” she says. “The tools are out there and Realtors are on the cutting edge as a result.” 

As a FAR vice president, Smith will focus on Realtor education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region.
