Plantation Realtor® Installed as District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 4, 2008 – Dorine Longhini, sales associate/trainer, Coldwell Banker in Plantation, has been installed as District 11 vice president of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Realtor® Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Longhini will serve her fellow professionals in District 11, which encompasses Broward County.
“The major challenges facing our district are concerns about property taxes and insurance, as well as our backlog of inventory,” she says.
Active in residential brokerage as well as recruiting and training new sales associates, Longhini served as 2006 president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale association. She has been active in FAR and the Women’s Council of Realtors® (WCR) for over a decade. Longhini is a member of the 2008 Board of Directors of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) and serves on its Committee on Land Use and Private Property. She is also a member of the Lighthouse Point and Pompano Beach chambers of commerce, the Coral Springs Mayor’s Housing Task Force and past district vice president of the Broward County School Board.
Longhini brings extensive industry experience to her role as FAR district vice president. “Education is the key to serving buyers and sellers effectively,” she says. “Realtors need to stay informed, active and involved regarding legislative and local issues.”
As a FAR vice president, Longhini will focus on Realtor education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region. As real estate professionals, Realtors seek to improve the availability and affordability of housing, while helping people from all walks of life achieve the American dream.
The Florida Association of Realtors®, the voice for real estate in Florida, provides programs, services, ongoing education, research and legislative representation to its 150,000 members in 67 local boards/associations throughout Florida.
